Pricing overview

Ochre's pricing is one number for most teams: $39 per billable seat per month, on the Team plan. There is no per-conversation fee, no surcharge for AI replies, and no markup on tokens.

We have an internal Starter tier that the app references for fresh sign-ups, but it is not actively sold. The marketing site lists Team and Scale.

What counts as a billable seat

The owner, admins, and agents are billable. Light agents are free and not counted toward your seat total.

If your workspace has 1 owner, 2 admins, 5 agents, and 12 light agents, your seat count is 8. Monthly cost on Team is 8 * $39 = $312.

What is included on Team

Every billable seat includes:

• Unlimited conversations across all channels (email, chat, Slack Connect)
• Unlimited customers and unlimited end users
• Unlimited knowledge base articles and help center pageviews
• All integrations (Stripe, HubSpot, Linear, GitHub, Slack)
• Custom routing rules (including custom-field conditions)
• AI agent — drafting and autopilot, BYOK
• Custom domain email (DKIM, SPF, MX)
• Email blocklist
• Per-workspace Slack branding for AI replies

There are no feature gates between Team and Scale on the product itself. Scale is about org-readiness (SSO/SCIM, dedicated infra, custom DPA, priority support).

What is not included

AI model tokens. When the AI agent drafts or sends a reply, it calls Anthropic, OpenAI, or another model provider on your behalf. You bring your own keys (BYOK), and the model provider bills you directly. We do not mark up tokens. We do not resell tokens. The seat fee is the seat fee — no per-resolution AI tax.

Phone/voice channels. Not currently supported.

SSO / SCIM / IP allowlist. Available on request for Scale-tier customers.

How billing works

• Monthly. Seat count is whatever it is on the renewal date.
• Charged via Stripe. Card by default; ACH on annual plans.
• Annual prepay available — 2 months free if you pay yearly. Email hello@ochrehq.com.

Adding seats mid-cycle

If you invite an admin or agent and there is no available seat, the invite stays pending until you either remove someone or accept an additional seat. Accepting an additional seat charges a prorated amount for the rest of the current period and bumps your renewal seat count.

If you remove a billable member mid-cycle, the seat is freed at the next renewal. We do not refund mid-cycle removals.

The AI: what you actually pay for

The AI agent itself is included in the seat fee. There is no per-message AI charge from us. You only pay your model provider for the tokens consumed.

Typical teams with autopilot enabled and Claude Sonnet as the default model spend $0.10–$0.30 per resolved conversation in tokens. Some teams spend less, some more, depending on conversation length and chosen model.

Compared to other tools

We are deliberately not running a five-tier pricing matrix where AI features cost extra and integrations are gated to "Enterprise." Most tools price the AI on top — per-resolution fees in the $0.50–$2 range that compound fast. Our seat fee is the seat fee.

Common questions

Can I cap my monthly bill? Seat fee is a function of seats — manage via roles. AI cost is on your model provider account.

Are taxes included? No. Stripe applies the right tax based on your billing address.

Do you have a free trial? New workspaces start on Starter (internal tier) for setup; switch to Team for production.

Can I get a quote in writing for Scale? Yes. Email hello@ochrehq.com with your seat count and any compliance requirements.
